No more Obama justices

Sen. Mitch McConnell is right not to allow hearings on President Barack Obama’s Supreme Court nominee. Obama has put two on the court already. Both have shown that they are nothing but puppets of the Obama administration, so why let him put another on the court? It is unfortunate that McConnell could not stop the first two.

The Constitution states that the president “shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint … Judges of the Supreme Court.” Well, the Senate is not consenting and has advised him, the president, so there is no need to waste time with hearings.

Those who want hearings want corrupt bargains, i.e., for Obama to influence some senators to vote his way.

Maybe the next president will appoint fair-minded people, people who believe in the Constitution and make meaningful decisions.
