Danger on Legacy Trail
I want to alert the public to a dangerous design flaw with the Legacy Trail bike route.
About halfway up, the trail goes under the interstate through a tunnel. Guess what other purpose this tunnel serves. It is also a route for farm trucks to go between the farms on either side of the interstate.
Mixing trucks and cyclists is never a good idea. Sooner or later someone is going a have very bad accident in this tunnel area. It’s just a matter of time because people just don’t expect to see a motorized vehicle out there. I found this out the hard way on a recent Sunday.
