Yard no place for needles
It’s bad enough that a junkie litterbug thinks so little of this planet that he would toss a plastic pop bottle into my yard, but it is another thing when he does so with a syringe floating inside.
I realize that all the junkie can think about is injecting whatever drug he does and getting that high he searches for, but here’s what happened and could have happened once that bottle and needle were tossed into my yard.
First, the “could haves”: Children play in my yard, and they could’ve picked it up and, being curious, opened it and hurt themselves. Also, I have a very curious dog who loves to chew on everything and anything, and I would search high and low for any person who would do harm to my dog.
What actually happened: The pop bottle and syringe were handed over to the police, who were going to try and lift a fingerprint off of it.
So the next time anyone makes the choice to inject drugs into his body, he should do us all a favor and keep it in the confines of his own home and not in my yard.
