During this end-of-year series of award ceremonies, performances and banquets, pride wells up inside of me for my daughter, her classmates and Bryan Station High School.
At the Arts Dance Recital — the most entertaining recital ever — I was engaged the whole time; didn’t know what was going to happen next. Throughout the evening, my wife and I laughed, cried, cheered and even jumped in fright. You even felt what the dancers were emoting and wondered if the struggles portrayed in the dance on stage reflected their own in life.
I’m sharing this for a few reasons. First, it just didn’t feel right holding back this good news about Bryan Station and its arts program. Second, I encourage parents who may have been swayed in the past by the negative attention the school gets to give Bryan Station another try.
Finally, business owners and anyone who is part of an organization or has the financial means should consider making a sizable donation to Bryan Station Arts.
