Candidates reflect division
The political division in the country is represented starkly by our two leading presidential candidates. The stark differences between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump — and their almost equal unpopularity — show the sharp division among the American people. Both sides represent things people want to happen and things people have that they don’t want to give up.
Whichever presidential candidate is elected had better choose his or her policies and words very carefully. Both sides are unhappy and want real change. This is not going to go away regardless of who wins.
Also, America needs to figure out a way to pay for all the things everybody expects from their government or expectations have to change. The bill is coming due soon.
