Injured bicyclist says thanks for stopping to help
As I rode my bike home from the pool on June 8, I was hit by a car on Clays Mill Road.
Thankfully, several people stopped to help me. I don’t know their names but want to thank every person who was there.
Although the incident is a little fuzzy to me, as I recall, a mother and her sons were the first to reach me, quickly called 911 and checked on me. There was also a man, a nurse, who was able to initially provide care before EMS arrived.
I know there were several more people who offered comfort until my dad arrived, including the driver, who showed great concern and kindness. I thank the police officers, firefighters and EMTs for getting to the accident scene so quickly.
I am very lucky that such a large group of people was willing to stop and offer help. I want to express my gratitude to all of them.
