Make America safe ... by passing gun laws

I was thrilled when I saw the theme for the opening day of the Republican convention was “Make America Safe Again.”

And then Sen. Tom Cotton said the main responsibility of the government was to keep the American people safe. That must mean Republicans are going to pass responsible gun laws to ban the sale of assault weapons, require background checks for everyone and not let anyone on the no-fly list buy a gun.

Amazing. Make America safe again.
