I’m not an economist or politician, but wasn’t NAFTA created to increase U.S. exports? It did that.
Wasn’t it also created because manufacturers wanted to be more competitive, and didn’t consumers favor it because it would lower prices on goods and services, which it has? So why would Republicans want to get rid of NAFTA?
Donald Trump says he wants to bring back manufacturing jobs. But won’t a restricted market also lead to higher prices?
It doesn’t seem like Trump can have it both ways: more jobs and low prices.
This needs to be pointed out. OK, we can have more jobs back, but we’re going to be paying more for cars, food and clothing.
Is restricting business really what we want? It seems like something Republicans should be against, not for.
