Not all mass killers are Muslim

A Lexington letter writer would have us believe that only Muslims are killing Americans in mass murders.

Obviously, the letter writer doesn’t know the recent history of the sad days in America.

While it is true that some Muslims are killing our citizens in America, we should remember the other killers in our midst who were clearly not Muslims:

Former altar boy Timothy McVeigh killed 168 in the 1995 bombing in Oklahoma City.

James Holmes killed 12 and wounded 70 in the mass shooting inside a movie theater in Aurora, Colo., in July 2012.

Adam Lanza killed 20 children and six adults in their Newton, Conn., school in December 2012.

Robert Dean Jr. killed three people and wounded nine others — five police officers and four civilians — in Colorado Springs, Colo., in November 2015

Jiverly Wong killed 13 people and wounded four others before committing suicide in Binghamton, N.Y., in April 2009.

Jared Loughner killed six people, including Chief U.S. District Court Judge John Roll and injured 13 other people in January 2011 in Tucson, Ariz.

The list of mass shootings in America is obviously much longer, and of course, the other gunmen had no connection with Islam or any other religion.
