Reviewer’s standard unfair

I was disturbed as I read the review of “Jesus Christ, Superstar” by Tedrin Blair Lindsay.

I did not see the performance, however, tickets cost $10. This is not a $250-ticket Broadway show.

For many people, this may be their introduction to live theater, and I’m sure they left thoroughly satisfied. The actors, dancers and tech crew are not professionals. It should be reviewed as a step up from a high school production. I felt as if he was eviscerating the performance.

These performances are a great opportunity to see the magic of live theater in a great setting and enjoy an inexpensive night out with fellow Lexingtonians. We do not need a “Broadway review” for a local performance.

By the way, I do not know anyone in the cast or crew.
