GOP leaders must denounce Trump
As a lifelong Republican, two important aspects of this presidential campaign are very disappointing to me.
First of all, of course, is the nomination of the deeply flawed candidate Donald Trump. And second is the sickening lack of political courage by our Kentucky Republican congressional delegation and our governor for not publicly denouncing Trump for his pathetic, coarse and uninformed rhetoric and actions so far in the campaign.
Obviously political expediency is more important than common decency to Kentucky Republican leaders. Neither Trump nor Democrat Hillary Clinton will get my vote.
And unless other down-ballot Republicans step up and denounce Trump they won’t get my vote either.
