UK sports boost academics
On July 30, I got a good laugh while reading the letters to the editor. It seems that some informed person is distraught concerning the salary of $750,000 for one of the University of Kentucky’s assistant coaches. The letter writer seems to think the money would be better spent paying for tuition for students.
Doesn’t this person realize that UK football and basketball bring in millions for UK, Lexington and the state? It amazes me that people can fuss about education and yet be so uninformed.
