Trump no model of sacrifice

Donald Trump has sacrificed nothing. He doesn’t even know what sacrifice is. What he declares as sacrifice is what the rest of us call work, doing a job, and pulling our weight for our families and communities. True sacrifice does not entail any remuneration.

If he sacrificed anything, it was his soul, and his arrogance in the face of a family that lost their son fighting a war to preserve our freedoms and protect the world from an evil terror, proves it.

I have sacrificed far more than Trump has. I’ve signed that blank check and have not gotten any return and did not expect any, but that is not important, except to say that I’ve not come anywhere near the sacrifice of the Khan family.

Others have sacrificed so much more than I, and they are my brothers and sisters in arms. Trump doesn’t know sacrifice. He can’t even see it in others.

Everything he has done is to satiate that black hole of soulless narcissism that is the core of his sorry existence. He is incapable of humility and possesses only the audacity of arrogance. He is the fool who thinks life is all about glory and winning, when life is much, much more. Trump is a hollow man.
