We, the undersigned principals of Fayette County Public Schools, write this letter to express our unwavering support and appreciation for Dr. Demetrus Liggins. As leaders in our schools and members of this community, we have the privilege of working closely with Dr. Liggins and witnessing his tireless commitment to the success and well-being of our students, faculty and staff, families, and community at large.
Under Dr. Liggins’ leadership, Fayette County Public Schools has benefited from transformative initiatives focused on enhancing educational equity, improving academic outcomes for students, and fostering a culture of collaboration and inclusivity. His strategic vision and dedication to excellence have inspired us to reimagine the unlimited possibilities for the students and families we serve.
Dr. Liggins has consistently prioritized the needs of our students, faculty, and staff, especially during times of unprecedented challenges. His ability to listen, empathize, and make thoughtful decisions has built trust across our schools and throughout the district. His focus on ensuring every student—regardless of his, her, or their background—has access to an equitable and high-quality education shines as a guiding light for all of us.
As principals, we have benefited tremendously from Dr. Liggins’ steadfast support, transparent communication, high expectations, and commitment to professional learning. He empowers us as leaders, encourages innovation, inspires us, and consistently advocates for the resources we need to create thriving school environments for the children and families we serve.
We believe in Dr. Liggins’ vision for Fayette County Public Schools and fully support his efforts to lead our district toward continued progress. His integrity, dedication, and passion for education make him an exceptional leader, and we stand united in our commitment to working alongside him for the benefit of all students.
