Educate for jobs available
Did some of the comment writers fail to read the want ads in this paper? I have checked several times, and nowhere do I find a need for an art history graduate. No museum managers or even French literature scholars, either.
I do see on TV and hear on the radio pleas for HVAC techs. Welders are hired, too. Ever need a plumber? When you need one, you need one. Ever need an art history or French-lit grad? Not unless you are a bar owner needing a new bartender. Yet the taxpayers are required to support them.
I have also been informed that university tuition should be free. I spent five years and two summers getting my technical degrees, but, of course, I worked a full night shift. Maybe I’ll get reimbursed. Is the check in the mail?
