From our archives: Lexington TV sportscasters Cutler, Rice and Bromley in the early 1980’s

Sports anchor Alan Cutler in the WLEX-18 newsroom, Dec. 5, 1981, his first year at the station. Cutler, a native of Long Beach, N.Y., graduated from State University of New York at Cortland. He was at the station from 1981 to 1984, then, after three years in Pittsburgh, including a stint as a color commentator for the Pittsburgh Pirates, he returned to WLEX in 1987 and is currently Sports Director/Anchor.
