ESPN did not name the former U of L players and recruits who confirmed allegations made in a recently published book, "Breaking Cardinal Rules: Basketball and the Escort Queen," written by self-described former escort Katina Powell. ESPN said the former players and recruits agreed to speak with "Outside the Lines" on the condition of anonymity.

ESPN said the players told them the strippers were paid for by the team's former graduate assistant coach, Andre McGee.

The University of Louisville and the NCAA are conducting investigations into the allegations. Louisville Athletics Director Tom Jurich and Hall of Fame men's basketball coach Rick Pitino told ESPN they would have no comment because of the ongoing investigations.
