Vote: Who is the University of Kentucky’s ‘Coach of the Year’ for all sports in 2021-22?

After the completion of the recent NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, the 2021-22 school year is now finished for the University of Kentucky’s athletics teams.

The Wildcats closed the year by adding another national championship (rifle) to its trophy case and came oh-so-close to an NCAA title in another sport (men’s tennis). The UK football team won a New Year’s Day bowl game. The men’s soccer squad reached the NCAA Sweet 16. The volleyball Cats won their fifth consecutive Southeastern Conference title. The women’s basketball team captured its first SEC Tournament championship in 40 years.

Bottom line: 2021-22 was a wildly successful all-sports campaign for Big Blue, even with Kentucky’s signature sport, men’s basketball, getting upset in the first round of the NCAA Tournament after enjoying a bounce-back season.

Kentucky does not name an all-sports Coach of the Year, but it’s easy to see how difficult that would be with UK Athletics awash in the type of success its teams enjoyed this school year.

If the Wildcats were to name an all-sports Coach of the Year, who would get your vote for 2021-22?
