Nerlens Noel a ‘true pro’ at training camp, Sixers’ coach says
By now, most folks are aware that Nerlens Noel spoke out about the 76ers’ logjam at the center spot.
He, however, didn’t let his disappointment hinder his performance during Tuesday morning’s training-camp session.
“He handled [things] with me and in the training-camp session today like a pro,” Sixers Coach Brett Brown said. “He came to mean it. He didn’t back down at all. There was no moping or sulking or him being stubborn. He played.”
The coach praised Noel for handling adversity like a “true pro” and a “true competitor” while at practice.
“When I get on the court, it’s all business strictly with my teammates and we are playing basketball,” Noel said. “I’ll leave all that to figure itself out at this time.”
The first morning practice of training camp is in the books. ✅
