Former University of Kentucky star Patrick Patterson has agreed to a three-year, $16.4 million contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder, according to a report by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Wojnarowski’s report was sourced, and The Oklahoman’s Tony Horne reported that he could also confirm the deal. Free-agent contracts can’t be signed until Thursday.

Patterson will join former Wildcats Enes Kanter and Dakari Johnson in the organization, along with stars Russell Westbrook and newly-acquired Paul George.

The Norman Transcript’s Fred Katz reported that Patterson’s starting salary will be $5.19 million and $5.45 million his second season. He’ll have a player option at $5.71 million for a third year.

Patterson, who started his NBA career in 2010 with the Houston Rockets, has averaged 7.9 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists in seven seasons. He has shot 36.8 percent from three-point range.

He averaged 6.8 points and 4.5 rebounds and shot 37.2 percent from long range this past season with the Toronto Raptors.
