Report: Ex-Cat Dakari Johnson gets guaranteed 2-year deal with Thunder

Former University of Kentucky basketball player Dakari Johnson will sign a guaranteed two-year contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder, TheVertical.com reported Thursday night.

The 7-foot, 255-pound Johnson, a second-round pick in the 2015 draft, was an NBA Development League All-Star last season when he averaged 18.5 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 49 games. In two seasons in the G-League, he has averaged 15.4 points, 8 rebounds and 2.1 assists.

Johnson, a former Sayre student, turned pro in April 2015 after his sophomore season at UK. In 78 career college games, he averaged 5.8 points and 4.3 rebounds.
