Watch: Ex-Cat’s first sack of NFL season knocks Denver QB out of game

A former University of Kentucky star made a major impact early on in the second week of NFL action.

Pittsburgh linebacker Bud Dupree sacked Denver Broncos quarterback Drew Lock midway through the first quarter Sunday, forcing a fumble that the Steelers recovered. It was Dupree’s first sack of the season.

Lock was knocked out of the game on the play and later went to the locker room with a shoulder injury. The Broncos announced he would not return to the game.

Running back James Conner scored on the ensuing drive to give the Steelers a 7-0 lead.

Dupree made four tackles, including two for a loss, in the Steelers’ Week 1 win against the New York Giants.
