George Karl remains the coach of the Sacramento Kings — for now.

General Manager Vlade Divac said in a statement Tuesday that Karl “is our coach and we’re collectively working through our issues.”

ESPN and other news outlets had reported late Monday and early Tuesday that their sources had the Kings firing Karl before this weekend’s All-Star break.

Sacramento is 21-31 and on a four-game losing streak. The Kings, whose starting lineup includes former University of Kentucky stars DeMarcus Cousins, Willie Cauley-Stein and Rajon Rondo have lost eight of 10 going into Wednesday night’s game in Philadelphia.

The Kings lost 120-100 at Cleveland on Monday night, raising speculation Karl might be fired Tuesday.
