Nerlens Noel to throw first pitch for Legends’ home finale

The Lexington Legends’ final homestand of the season will include an appearance by former University of Kentucky star Nerlens Noel.

The Philadelphia 76ers center will throw the first pitch before the second game of Wednesday’s doubleheader against the Augusta GreenJackets. The first game of the doubleheader, which will be two seven-inning games, will start at 5:05 p.m.

The opening game of the three-game series is Tuesday.

Noel also took part in Kentucky Coach John Calipari’s Celebrity Softball Classic this past Sunday. The event raised more than $300,000 for flood relief efforts in Louisiana.
