After an interruption caused by rainy weather, the University of Kentucky baseball team looks to resume its 15-game home stand this weekend at Kentucky Proud Park.

The Wildcats (5-3) are scheduled to host North Carolina Wilmington (6-3) for a three-game series Friday through Sunday. The largely dry forecast calls for temperatures around 40 degrees the first two days but a boost to 60 for the final day of the weekend. Friday’s game was moved to a time earlier than originally scheduled, so now all three contests are set for 1 p.m. starts.

Kentucky’s game against Eastern Kentucky scheduled for Wednesday afternoon in Lexington was called off because of rain. The teams have not announced a makeup date and are not currently scheduled to play each other again this season.

Kentucky and Eastern Kentucky have met 96 times previously, with UK holding a 69-26-1 advantage. They last met on Feb. 26, 2019, a 7-3 UK victory in the first game ever played at Kentucky Proud Park.

Eastern Kentucky (4-2) hosts Siena (0-8) for a four-game series Friday through Sunday.

Kentucky takes a five-game winning streak into its series against UNC Wilmington. UK will send junior right-hander Jimmy Ramsey to the mound on Friday and junior lefty Mason Hazelwood on Saturday. Sunday’s starter has not been announced.

All three games will be streamed live on SEC Network Plus and broadcast on radio at 98.5 FM.
