One-of-a-kind UK basketball motorcycle to be auctioned for charity

University of Kentucky basketball fans will have an opportunity to bid this month on a custom motorcycle that has been signed by Coach John Calipari, members of UK’s 2012 national championship team and other Wildcats legends.

The auction provides funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters and the American Heart Association.

The motorcycle, a 2009 Kawasaki Vulcan 900C, was donated by brothers Tom Slone of Dallas and Don Slone of Clarksville, Ind.

Bidding will take place online at TheBigMasquerade.com. The auction begins Friday and continues through Oct. 29 at 10:30 p.m.

The 21 autographs on the motorcycle include Calipari, Anthony Davis, Julius Randle, Darius Miller, Brandon Knight, Patrick Patterson, Tony Delk and Rick Robey. The bike is on display at the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana office in Louisville and can be viewed upon request.
