The jersey numbers for the 2017-2018 Kentucky men’s basketball team were announced Tuesday on Coach John Calipari’s website, CoachCal.com.

Freshman point guard Quade Green takes over the No. 0 last worn by expected NBA lottery pick De’Aaron Fox.

Fellow newcomer Kevin Knox, a 6-foot-8 small forward, assumes the No. 5 last worn by Malik Monk, another expected lottery pick.

Hamidou Diallo, who took the No. 4 jersey for his spring semester practicing with the Cats this year, trades down to the No. 3 last worn by Bam Adebayo. Freshman Nick Richards will take the No. 4 jersey.

Other freshman jerseys include; Jemarl Baker, a 6-4 shooting guard, who takes over No. 13 from Isaiah Briscoe; Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will don No. 22, last worn by Alex Poythress; PJ Washington will take over No. 25 from Dominique Hawkins; and Jarred Vanderbilt will wear No. 2, most recently sported by Aaron Harrison.
