Killeya-Jones to attend Great Britain training camp

University of Kentucky sophomore-to-be Sacha Killeya-Jones accepted an invitation to attend Great Britain’s national training camp this summer.

Killeya-Jones was one of 24 players selected to try out for Great Britain’s senior men’s team. The roster will be whittled to 12 for FIBA EuroBasket 2017, which will begin Aug. 31.

Killeya-Jones, a 6-foot-10 forward, is eligible to play for Great Britain because his mother, Ley, was born there.

Training camp will start July 31 in Manchester, England.

Killeya-Jones, a native of Chapel Hill, N.C., averaged 2.7 points and 2.1 rebounds in 15 games for Kentucky last season.
