Wildcats greet campers at ‘tent city’

John Calipari made an appearance for a radio interview at the annual campout for Big Blue Madness tickets on Thursday night, but the University of Kentucky men’s basketball coach made no mention of the recent recruiting scandal at Louisville.

Calipari emphasized the importance of mental discipline for a UK team packed with freshmen and added, “I believe this should be a pressing team.”

UK fans began setting up tents around Memorial Coliseum early Wednesday in anticipation of acquiring tickets to Big Blue Madness, which will take place on Oct. 13. The free tickets will be distributed at 10 p.m. Friday.
