UK basketball fan hits shot worth $10,000 during Kentucky-Alabama game
The biggest crowd reaction during the first hour and a half of action at Rupp Arena on Saturday afternoon had nothing to do with the Kentucky-Alabama game being played there.
During the under-12 timeout of the second half, UK basketball fan Alan Turner took a couple of dribbles near mid court and then swished a half-court shot to win $10,000 as part of one of the game-day promotions.
Turner did a little victory lap around the middle of the court and then got a big hug from former UK player and game-day emcee Ravi Moss, among others on the Rupp court, as the Wildcats’ fans in attendance cheered.
Here it is. @KentuckyMBB fan Alan Turner just won $10,000 from @BudsGunShopKY by making a half court shot during the last media timeout. pic.twitter.com/r7JjDnDcrM
