‘Can coaches win Emmys?’ UK’s John Calipari appears in ‘Billions’ on Showtime
University of Kentucky head basketball coach John Calipari has taken to television acting (though his role allows him to be himself) in the latest episode of Showtime’s “Billions.”
Calipari appears in the latest episode of season six of the Showtime drama series. He shared a clip of the episode on Twitter, in which he’s a public speaker touting his track record as a basketball coach.
During his part in the episode, Calipari touts his 52 players who have been selected in the NBA Draft and says he always tells them to “put the first million away.”
“Can coaches win Emmys?” Calipari asked in his tweet.
The show, which tells the story of a hedge fund manager who faces risks of prosecution over illegal acts he commits to gain power and wealth in the financial industry, has been on since 2016.
The latest episode featuring Calipari debuted Sunday.
