Final statistics from Kentucky basketball’s Blue-White Game
The University of Kentucky men’s basketball team played its annual Blue-White intrasquad scrimmage at Appalachian Wireless Arena in Pikeville on Saturday night. Three players missed the game, the contest was limited to 30 minutes and it was all for practice, but the White team defeated the Blue squad, 70-67, in a competitive, entertaining showcase to raise money for flood relief.
Kentucky was missing three of its players because of injuries so Coach John Calipari shortened the scrimmage to a 20-minute first half followed by a 10-minute second half.
Oscar Tshiebwe, Sahvir Wheeler and Lance Ware did not play Saturday.
Next up for Kentucky is an exhibition game against Missouri Western State on Oct. 30 in Rupp Arena. The Wildcats open the regular season on Nov. 7 against Howard in Lexington.
