The Kentucky men’s basketball team will set out Friday to put a positive spin on a negative week.

UK (2-1) hosts Eastern Illinois (1-2) at 7 p.m. EST in Rupp Arena, trying to erase a doubly bad taste. The Wildcats are coming of a 96-88 loss at rival Louisville on Tuesday.

On Thursday, projected starting point guard Jaland Lowe — who missed Kentucky’s two exhibitions and its season opener with a right shoulder injury — reinjured his shoulder in practice. He’s expected to miss Friday’s game.
