Here’s the updated 2026 SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament schedule
With Kentucky’s 78-72 victory over the Missouri Tigers in the second round of the SEC Tournament on Thursday, the Cats will have at least one more game to play at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville this week.
Next up for Mark Pope’s team: a rematch with the Florida Gators at 1 p.m. ET Friday on ESPN.
Florida will go into that one with an 11-game winning streak. The Gators have defeated Kentucky twice in that stretch, though the Cats have been the only team to play within single digits of the defending national champions during their current run.
Todd Golden’s team won game one in Gainesville by a score of 92-83 on Feb. 14. The Gators beat Kentucky 84-77 in Rupp Arena last weekend, the regular season finale for both teams.
Florida, which won the SEC with a 16-2 league record, appears to be in the driver’s seat for a 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament, while the Cats — generally projected as a 7 seed — are still playing for a better position on Selection Sunday. A win over the Gators could go a long way toward improving their NCAA Tournament spot.
The Friday quarterfinals will also mark the first game of the week for 2-seeded Alabama, 3-seeded Arkansas and 4-seeded Vanderbilt.
