Thumbs up: This UK team was labeled as one that could not finish close games. The Cats were in trouble at halftime. Yet on the biggest stage against an experienced West Virginia team, UK went on a 20-8 run to close it out.

Thumbs down: Harrellson and Knight needed a little more offensive help. Terrence Jones and Darius Miller contributed down the stretch, but 40 minutes of balance is needed if UK has to take on Ohio State.

Thumbs up: Brandon Knight and Josh Harrellson. John Calipari's résumé is stacked with superb guards, but few played better in a big game than Knight. Harrellson a role player? He is 14-for-18 in NCAA play with 18 boards.

Thumbs up: Down by eight at the half, UK called on its defense. WVU scored 22 points in the second half after scoring 41 in the first. UK held West Virginia scoreless for more than six minutes to open the second half.
