ESPN still projects Kentucky’s Labissiere as a top-10 NBA Draft pick
The struggles of Skal Labissiere’s freshman season at the University of Kentucky have been well documented, but ESPN is still projecting the 6-foot-11 forward as a top-10 pick in this year’s NBA Draft.
Labissiere, who is averaging 7.7 points and 3.2 rebounds per game, goes No. 9 overall to the Portland Trail Blazers in the new ESPN mock draft, which was released Thursday.
ESPN projected Labissiere as the No. 2 overall prospect behind LSU freshman Ben Simmons before the season began.
UK freshman guard Jamal Murray goes No. 7 overall to the New Orleans Pelicans — where he would join former UK great Anthony Davis — in the new ESPN mock draft.
No other UK players are mentioned in the mock draft, which includes only the first 30 selections.
