Kentucky men stay in place at No. 20 in AP poll
The University of Kentucky held its ground at No. 20 in this week’s Associated Press men’s college basketball poll.
The Wildcats manhandled Missouri 88-54 last Wednesday, then fell 90-84 in overtime at then-No. 4 Kansas on Saturday night but did not move in the voting.
Kentucky (16-5 overall, 6-2 Southeastern Conference) visits Tennessee on Tuesday and hosts Florida on Saturday in the week ahead.
Louisville, which won 91-83 at Virginia Tech on Wednesday then lost 63-47 at home to then-No. 11 Virginia on Saturday, tumbled three spots to No. 19 in this week’s poll.
The Cardinals (17-4 overall, 6-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) host No. 2 North Carolina (19-2, 8-0) in a battle of the top two teams in the ACC on Monday night at the KFC Yum Center.
