If you’ve watched Jamal Murray much, you’ve come to notice that the University of Kentucky freshman has a vast array of unusual shots in his basketball repertoire.

Murray, Kentucky’s leading scorer at 19.4 points per game, frequently uses this skill to his advantage when he draws contact on his way to the rim and still finishes the basket with a fallaway, a flip shot or a finger roll.

Coach John Calipari has spoken frequently about helping Murray perfect his game by persuading him to make the easy play.

But that doesn’t mean Murray still can’t enjoy experimenting with the degree of difficulty on his own.

Check out the shot Murray made this week as part of UK’s #HorseWithTheCats promotion on Twitter.

The official Twitter account of UK men’s basketball started the game this month in which it asks fans to submit videos of their own H-O-R-S-E shots each week to #HorseWithTheCats. If your video is selected, Murray and fellow UK guard Tyler Ulis attempt to match it.
