The game was to be broadcast live on SEC Network+ starting at 6 p.m.

The annual meeting of the commonwealth’s two marquee programs pitted head coaches with history against each other colliding for the first time in the Cats-Cards rivalry.

Kentucky’s Kenny Brooks and Louisville’s Jeff Walz were longtime rivals in the Atlantic Coast Conference when Brooks led Virginia Tech. Walz holds a 7-3 advantage, but Brooks has won their three most recent meetings.

UK leads the all-time series over Louisville 34-25.

Kentucky brought a 3-0 record into Saturday night’s matchup. Louisville was 2-1.
