UK women’s basketball commit, several recruiting targets invited to USA Basketball minicamp
Maddyn Greenway, Kentucky’s star point guard commitment in the class of 2026, has been selected to participate in the 2025 USA Basketball Women’s Junior National Team minicamp.
The event — the third annual — is set to take place in Tampa, Florida, from April 3-6, concurrently with this year’s NCAA Women’s Final Four and national championship weekend.
Greenway is one of 45 players chosen for the minicamp, which will include on-court drills and scrimmages, and offer athletes the opportunity to “participate in a series of educational presentations and attend the semifinal games on Friday night,” according to USA Basketball.
Greenway, the No. 18 national prospect in the class of 2026 and the top prospect in the state of Minnesota, committed to coach Kenny Brooks’ Wildcats last November. The 5-foot-8 point guard will be joined by 13 other standouts from the class of 2026, including Kentucky recruiting targets Bella Ragone (Georgia), Bella Flemings (Texas), Kate Harpring (Georgia) and Trinity Jones (Illinois), and ex-Cat Adou Thiero’s younger sister, Oumou “Mimi” Thiero (Pennsylvania).
Kentucky 2027 targets Caroline Bradley (Louisiana), Ryan Carter (Pennsylvania), De’Andra Minor (Oklahoma) and Ivanna Wilson Manyacka (Maryland), plus 2028 targets Sydney Douglas (California), Ella Peper (Massachuetts) and in-state 2029 target Jayden McClain (Ryle) have also been invited to participate, among others.
