How to watch Georgia Amoore and Rhyne Howard during the WNBA preseason
The WNBA season is nearly upon us and, for the first time, the complete WNBA preseason slate will be broadcast nationally or available to stream.
The WNBA announced Monday that 14 of its 15 preseason games will be streamed for free on WNBA League Pass, which is accessible via the WNBA app. Four preseason games will also be broadcast nationally, via ESPN, ION and NBA TV.
Never before has the entire WNBA preseason schedule been available to view; a landmark shift reflective of the league’s growing popularity, per WNBA chief growth officer Colie Edison.
“We’ve seen the demand for WNBA content grow exponentially and we are meeting that demand by working with our broadcast partners and our teams to make a significant investment by making all 15 preseason games available to WNBA fans,” Edison said. “It will be the ultimate way for fans to follow their favorite players as all 13 teams prepare to tip off the regular season in mid-May. And the preseason schedule itself, with superstars returning to the arenas where they starred in college and in some cases, teams from around the world serving as opponents, brings an entirely new level of excitement to the WNBA preseason.”
Games streamed via WNBA League Pass are subject to local blackouts.
Kentucky fans will get their first glimpse of Georgia Amoore in action for the Washington Mystics on Saturday, when the team travels to Indiana to take on Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever at 1 p.m. That matchup will be available on NBA TV and WNBA League Pass.
Big Blue Nation can catch UK icon Rhyne Howard beginning her fourth season with Atlanta on May 7, when the Dream will play the Mystics at 11:30 a.m. at CareFirst Arena in Washington, D.C. The first professional matchup between Howard and Amoore will be available on WNBA League Pass.
Preseason action begins Friday, with star-studded homecomings hosted at Notre Dame’s Purcell Pavilion and LSU’s Pete Maravich Assembly Center. The games will be broadcast back to back on ION beginning at 7 p.m.
First up, the new-look Las Vegas Aces, headlined by reigning WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson and Notre Dame alumnae Jewell Loyd and Jackie Young, will battle the Dallas Wings, led by longtime sharpshooter and beloved Notre Dame legend Arike Ogunbowale, as well as Paige Bueckers, the top-overall selection in the 2025 WNBA Draft.
Angel Reese and recent first-round draft pick Hailey Van Lith, who played for LSU during the 2023-24 campaign, will return to LSU as the Chicago Sky face the Brazilian national team in Baton Rouge. Kamilla Cardoso, Brazilian national team center and two-time national champion with South Carolina, will suit up against her Team Brazil teammates following the conclusion of Las Vegas-Dallas.
In addition to its broadcast on ION, the game will be streamed online by ESPN, and will not be available on the WNBA League Pass app, unlike the 14 other preseason contests.
The WNBA preseason will make two additional collegiate stops. On Sunday at 4 p.m., Clark and the Fever will play the Brazilian National Team at Carver-Hawkeye Arena at the University of Iowa. On May 12 at 7 p.m., the reigning WNBA champion New York Liberty, featuring Oregon alumnae Sabrina Ionescu and Nyara Sabally, will play the Toyota Antelopes (Japanese Basketball League) at Oregon’s Matthew Knight Arena.
