Kentucky women’s basketball makes move up in poll
The University of Kentucky women’s basketball team bounced back from its first loss of the season with a pair of impressive victories last week and was rewarded Monday with a move upward in The Associated Press Top 25 poll.
Kentucky (13-1) moved from No. 10 to No. 9 after victories over Alabama at home and Georgia on the road last week. Kentucky had climbed as high as No. 7 before falling at Auburn on Jan. 3.
The Wildcats return to action Thursday night in Memorial Coliseum against second-ranked South Carolina.
Louisville, which opened the season No. 8 in the country before dropping all the way out of the top 25, moved back in at No. 23 on Monday.
