Kentucky women in SEC Tournament: Live updates

The 13th-ranked Wildcats enter the game 23-6 and as the No. 5 seed in the league tournament. The Wildcats advanced to the quarterfinals by defeating No. 13 seed LSU 79-71 on Thursday and No. 4 seed Florida 92-69 on Friday. Third-ranked South Carolina (29-1) received a bye, then advanced to Saturday’s semifinal game by beating Auburn 57-48 on Friday. The Gamecocks are the tournament’s No. 1 seed after completing an undefeated SEC regular season.
Saturday’s game (5 p.m. tip-off) marks the 58th meeting between the schools. Kentucky leads the all-time series 38-24, but South Carolina has won five of the last seven meetings including both games this season.
The winner of Saturday’s game will play either Tennessee or Mississippi State in Sunday’s championship game at 2:30 p.m. The Volunteers and Bulldogs meet later Saturday in the second semifinal game.
