Kentucky women’s basketball in NCAA Sweet 16: Live updates

The teams are matched up in the round of 16 in the NCAA Tournament’s Lexington Regional. The winner moves on to the regional finals scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m. in Rupp Arena, with a berth in the NCAA Final Four at stake.
Kentucky, the No. 3 seed in the Lexington Regional, advanced to Friday’s game with an 79-58 victory over No. 6 seed Oklahoma on Monday in Memorial Coliseum. Washington, the No. 7 seed, stunned No. 2 seed Maryland 74-65 on its home court Monday.
The Wildcats, who finished fourth in the Southeastern Conference regular-season standings, are 25-7. The Huskies, who finished fifth in the Pac-12 Conference regular-season standings, are 24-10.
Friday’s game (7 p.m. tip-off) marks the second meeting between the schools. The Huskies beat Kentucky 67-57 on Jan. 7, 2008, in Lexington in their only previous meeting.
