Kickoff time set for Kentucky-Vanderbilt football game

The University of Kentucky’s home football game against Vanderbilt on Oct. 8 will kick off at 4 p.m. and be televised on the SEC Network, the Southeastern Conference announced Monday.

Vanderbilt (2-2 overall, 0-1 SEC) is coming off a 31-30 overtime victory at Western Kentucky on Saturday. The Commodores visit 23rd-ranked Florida this Saturday ahead of their trip to Kentucky. Vanderbilt opened its season by splitting a pair of home games, losing to South Carolina 13-10 then beating Middle Tennessee State 47-24. Next came a 38-7 loss at Georgia Tech, followed by the win at WKU.

The all-time series between Kentucky (2-2, 1-1) and Vanderbilt is tied 42-42-4. The Commodores won last season’s game in Nashville 21-17 and have won four of their last five meeting with the Wildcats.
