Kentucky’s 2018 football schedule announced and includes a new SEC foe
Kentucky’s 2018 football schedule came into focus Tuesday as the Southeastern Conference announced the full slate of games for next season.
As previously announced, the Cats will open with Central Michigan on Sept. 1 at Kroger Field. A trip to The Swamp follows on Sept. 8 to face Florida before returning for a three-game homestand beginning with in-state FCS opponent Murray State on Sept. 15.
They will go to Texas A&M as the Aggies take their turn in the Western Division rotation. It will be Kentucky’s first trip to College Station since 1952 and its first game against Texas A&M since the Aggies joined the SEC.
The Cats get seven home games in 2018, including SEC foes Mississippi State, South Carolina, Vanderbilt and Georgia.
The season ends with a Thanksgiving weekend trip to Louisville for the Governor’s Cup on Nov. 24.
