UK Football

Which Kentucky football players have been drafted into the NFL? See them all here.

More University of Kentucky football players were selected in last year’s NFL Draft than any year since 1979, when the school had eight players drafted into the league, and the most since the draft became a seven-round event in 1994.

UK is unlikely to match last year’s five total draftees by the time the 2020 draft is completed on Saturday, but the Wildcats for the second time under head coach Mark Stoops should have multiple draft selections. The program can thank wide receiver Lynn Bowden and offensive guard Logan Stenberg, both projected as middle-round talents, for that distinction.

Who are the Wildcats that have preceded them? Below you’ll find a chart of every UK player drafted into either the NFL or the American Football League, a defunct organization whose history is officially counted as part of the NFL’s since the two leagues merged in the 1960s. Players who were drafted into the AFL are marked with an asterisk.

Only one existing NFL franchise — the Carolina Panthers — has never drafted a UK player.

Note: Information cited from Pro Football Reference. Some players are listed twice, as they were selected by both an AFL and NFL franchise in a given year.
