Game times, television channels set for three of UK’s first six football games
Game times and TV destinations for three of the the first six University of Kentucky football games were revealed Tuesday.
Kentucky will kick off its season Sept. 26 at Auburn in a noon start (11 a.m. in Alabama) that will air on the SEC Network. The next week, on Oct. 3, it will host Mississippi at 4 p.m. in another SEC Network contest.
The times and TV channels for UK’s games on Oct. 10 (hosting Mississippi State), Oct. 17 (at Tennessee) and Oct. 24 (hosting Georgia) have not yet been determined, but its visit to Missouri on Oct. 31 will take place at noon and air on the SEC Network.
UK’s game at Tennessee on Oct. 17 will kick off no later than 4 p.m. and air on an ESPN platform.
In addition to games on ESPN networks, six CBS broadcasts were announced earlier Tuesday, though none featured Kentucky.
The six CBS games are:
▪ Mississippi State at LSU on Sept. 26.
▪ Texas A&M at Alabama on Oct. 3
▪ Georgia at Alabama on Oct. 17.
▪ LSU at Auburn on Oct. 31.
▪ Florida vs. Georgia on Nov. 7.
▪ Alabama at LSU on Nov. 14.
CBS will also broadcast the SEC championship game on Dec. 19.
The Southeastern Conference requested that its television partners make advanced game selections where possible to aid schools and the league in planning and logistics. Selections for the entire league were made through the first two weeks, and four future Saturdays in the season.
