Kentucky football season ticket sales ahead of last year’s pace. How many have been sold?

Just more than three months from Kentucky’s 2023 football opener, season ticket sales are on pace to exceed last year’s total.

As of May 18, Kentucky had sold 36,318 season tickets. That number was around 1,500 more than the same time last year and already 95% of the total number of season tickets sold in 2022 (38,262). Included in that total are 2,800 new season ticket purchases.

For fans still considering purchasing season tickets, there should be newly available seats this week as the seat-upgrade process for season ticket renewals ends.

Tickets for Kentucky’s seven home games range from $225 for some benchback upper-level seats to $600 for premium seating areas. Tickets in the lower bowl and premium suite areas also require a donation to UK’s K Fund, ranging from $50 to $2,500.

When do single-game tickets go on sale?

UK has not finalized a date for single-game ticket sales, but in past years they have generally gone on sale in July. However, due to the current pace of season ticket sales combined with the number of tickets reserved for students and visiting fans, a ticket office representative stressed the school expects only a “very limited inventory” of single-game tickets to be available for the biggest games on the home schedule.

“The availability of mini-packs is also still being determined,” the ticket office representative wrote in an email to the Herald-Leader. “The best way to ensure getting a ticket to the biggest games is through a season ticket package.”

Anyone interested in bringing a group of more than 15 people to a game is encouraged to reach out to the group sales team at the contact information listed above. Tickets for Kentucky’s away games are on sale through June 29. Season ticket holders have priority in the seat assignment process for those games.

How many season tickets has Kentucky sold in previous seasons?

Since the Kroger Field renovation was completed in 2015 (capacity 61,000), Kentucky has sold at least 30,000 season tickets each year, excluding 2020 when seating was limited due to COVID-19 protocols.
