Kentucky football will get national spotlight for 2025 SEC opener vs. Ole Miss

Kickoff times for Kentucky football’s first three 2025 games have been set.

The Wildcats will open the season against Toledo at 12:45 p.m. on Aug. 30. They will host Ole Miss at 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 6 and Eastern Michigan at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 13. The Toledo game will be televised by the SEC Network, the Ole Miss game by ABC and the Eastern Michigan game by ESPNU.

After those three home games, Kentucky will temporarily pause play for its first of two off weeks before returning to action at South Carolina on Sept. 26. Kickoff times for the South Carolina game and rest of the schedule will be revealed at a later date.

The SEC unveiled kickoff windows for the bulk of the 2024 schedule last June before the first year of the league’s new deal with ESPN that saw all SEC games televised on one of the ABC family networks. That announcement should reveal whether fans can expect games to kick off in the early afternoon or at night even if the specific kickoff time is not set until two weeks before the game.

Transfer quarterback Zach Calzada is expected to make his Kentucky debut as the starter in the 2025 season opener versus Toledo.
